Walgreens has a policy where store managers get moved to a different store every few months. Strikes both me and the workers as a retarded policy, and it is; I mean, no sooner does a manager get used to his/her staff and a store's particular idiosyncracies and customer base, then he gets shipped out. What kind of strategy is that? I'd much rather keep one guy in charge all the time - a guy who knows the store and the people who work and shop there - than have a new n00b take over operations every few months. Really makes you wonder if the corporate heads have any idea of how to run a business or if they just spend their time playing Monopoly during board meetings.
