Mine might have the feature; I know it can do real-time videos, although I've never used it for that. I really ought to read the instruction manual someday. 
I do that as well. In my old neighborhood there was this one scene that combined atree, a streetlight, and a few other objects that I photographed virtually every other night. I've done the same thing herev with the nearby church parking lot. Makes me glad that I use a digital camera and don't have to pay for film.
