One that I remember well was The Angry Red Planet. Filmed in black and white until the ship arrived at Mars, then they added red to the mix. The giant spider was weird; so was the slime monster. And at the end, the Martians tell Earthlings not to come back or they'd kill us all. Weird, kind of lame, but very entertaining; even the critics thought it wasn't bad.
