When my parents did landscaping there was no Home Depot. They did it the old-fashioned way, by digging up trees, shrubs, decorative rocks, etc. in the woods on a rlative's property. The property in question was vast, and included a dune-like area and a small marsh. While our parents were digging up stuff, my brother and I had a blast with our G. I, Joe toys. Now that was a great way to spend a summer afternoon!
