It might not be as hard to explain as you think. I've never liked the phone too. Making a phone call is almost to the phobia level, it can freak me out so much. And in the days before caller ID, I never answered it. I let the machine get it, and if I wanted to talk to the person, then I'd pick up the phone. Thank goodness for speed dials and cellular phone books, other wise I'd rarely ever use the phone.
