Keith's energy in this episode is incredible. I wonder if at any point his voice was starting to give out after this. This episode also shows that Wilt and Jackie are TOTAL opposites. One's tall, one's short, one's nice, one's not so nice, it's a really great contrast.

yeah?...well i think when herriman 'died', bloo had no idea how it rly feels like to hv someone died. i mean, how often would an imaginary friend encounters death?..probably only in tv..so they could not rly relate that to a real death...so I think it's perfectly normal that bloo did not seem to fret too much over herriman... but i do agree that his heartless side IS what makes me luv him.. |

This is interesting about Bloo. Sometimes he shows this heartless side of him, and sometimes he seems to be more caring. I agree, though, that he probably can't relate to death so it would not have much effect on him. I think that Bloo sometimes wants others to see him as more heartless than he really is; or maybe he is becoming naughtier as the series continues (if you think back to House Of Bloos he was still troublesome but was also very friendly). He's still not completely heartless - whether he wants to be or not. XD
As for the episode, I've only seen it a couple of times but I think it's great. My favourite parts were when Bloo was trying to escape near the end (classic cartoon humour there!) and of course when Mac and the old guy were 'miming' they were riding a roller coaster. That was just so well-animated and hilarious.

As for if Bloo knows death... I think he realizes what it IS. He did know you go to jail if you kill someone XD (though, in Herriman's case it wasn't murder, more like manslaughter) He even knew CPR. And since we don't know where Mac's dad is, we could also assume that he might've died in the five years Bloo's been around Only speculations, of course |

As for Mac's father, CCook revealed that an insider at Turner stated that Mac's father left the family, so presumably this means that he and Mac's mom are divorced, but in any case, he's not dead. I strongly suspected that to be the case from "Infernal Slumber", since there are no photos of the father at all, just of the two boys, Mac and Terrence. Most of the time, when someone dies, their surviving family members will have photos of them in the house, unless they weren't a well-liked family member, but it's pretty common for a person to get rid of such mementos of an x-spouse, especially if the separation was bitter. pitbulllady |

I liked this eppie from the start for a number of reasons.
1- I like roller coasters. 2- I like fabric stores. 3- I remember when I was little and didn't like fabric stores, and would be bored out of my mind while my mother browsed for what seemed like hours. And 4- It focused on Madame F. more than most of the previous episodes did. Yes, I LOVE roller coasters. Although I'm not the type who likes to ride the same one over and over and over and over..... I'd rather mix them up a bit. If I like one a whole lot, I'll ride it again, but only after I ride another one or two. I tend to get sick less often that way. Yes, I also like fabric stores. Ok, maybe not as much as roller coasters, but I like to humor my creative side every now and then. And sometimes just browsing and daydreaming is sufficient. Oh yes, I remember when I was little, before I had any interest in sewing, I'd be stuck at a fabric store for "ever". I'd entertain myself usually looking at the pattern books and daydreaming of wearing some of the terrific clothes (and costumes) in there. But I actually didn't mind when my mother brought my brother and I to the Daisy Kingdom in downtown Portland. It was in a great old drafty Victorian building, it reminded me of my grandparents home. And they had a nice play area, very similar to the one in the episode. I don't remember the exact toys they had there, but I do remember all the ones Bloo played with in the eppie, I'm sure at least one of them was among the toys in that play room. *sigh* That was a fun flash back. Ah, but to be a child again... And yes, we've seen a bit of the Madame in episodes since then, but when "SiiS" first aired it was refreshing to see more of Madame. F. It was also interesting to see more interaction between her and Bloo's characters, since we hadn't really seen that before. It did show a bit of her self centered nature, though, but not in the extreme. She simply was your typical creative/artistic lady in a fabric store, being side swiped by one distraction after an other. I now understand the thrill of creating something with your own hands, and buying supplies with which you will day dream about and how exactly you'll put them together to create this perfect..."thing". And it's your creation! You're "baby" of sorts! I didn't understand that so much when I was Bloo's age, but now days, yeah, I do. ![]() And one more thing I love about this episode, which I know I've already mentioned a time or two. Bloo's excitement about going to the fair. Man, even I can't do that voice in such excitement without giving myself a headache. Kudos to Keith for doing such a great job at that. ![]()

this may sound mean, but i'm glad bloo DID get to escape from Madame F. and that she will hv to pay all expenses bloo caused...i mean..SHE is the one who kept bloo in the store for so long..she could hv just buy a button and leave but NOOo...she just hv to stay and try out the new sewing machine.
I also remember this part where bloo is using the sewing machine, then Madame F.'s friends come admiring, and when madame F show her friends the doily, they ignored her and continued praising bloo. I think madame F is a bit jealous... all i want to say is, Bloo gets to be the centre of everything even when he is in some territory unknown to him. and that this epi would make us all sympathize with bloo more...so ...poor Madame Foster.. I simply adored everything about this episode. I'm guessing lots of people like me know exactly what Bloo was going through having been stuck as a kid in them desparately rolling the big rolls of fabric to get some entertainment and looking at the buttons etc. Mac cracked me up too in his bits.
Now I'm not sure if it was this episode they was in, but there's several recurring background characters I've noticed in recent episodes. There's a lady with beads in her hair and another with a red hat and probably loads more I not spotted yet. I expect theres a thread on this somewhere. Local folks I suppose. Hooray for baby ducks!

Mac's World in Bloo

And somehow, Bloo ends up liking sewing in the end.
LOL (He reminded me vaguely of Mother Hubbard...) Who knew Bloo had such a weak stomach, too? With his outright love of adventure and craziness...that kind of surprised me... Man Bloo is CLEVER. He comes up with a cover for the bell? Sews a giant "hot air balloon" so he can fly over the guard at the fair? MAN....some of Mac's smarts rubbed off on him. Don't be tryin' to tell me Bloo is stupid...naive maybe...but not stupid. Great ep!
