Default Kim Possible Finale

(*sigh*)

Okay, when I was ten/eleven, this was my favorite show. I had the dolls, socks, lunchbox...

It was downright ANNOYING how much I loved it.

At age eleven (after finding out THE FIRST TIME) that it was to be canceled, I wrote a several page letter to Disney about why they should continue it.

At age thirteen, I discovered that it had been renewed for a fourth season. I laughed at myself, giggling about the fact that I had been so obsessed with a stupid cartoon. I also became a die hard Foster's fan at this point...

At age fourteen, I watched the two hour marathon of new episodes kicking off the new season, just because I helped to get it. After that, I tuned in maybe twice to see the new episodes, still mocking myself but secretly liking it.

Upon finding out that (once again) it has been canceled (for good this time- the staff all left and went to Nickelodeon), I watched old and new episodes on YouTube to catch up.

In the past few days, I've found myself obsessed. I'm stoked for the big finale...

My favorite character is Ron, and I love that he and Kim are together. It didn't make the show jump the shark, as I thought it would...

Personally, in the two (three if you count the hour-long finale as two) episodes left, I'd like to see the K/R romance put to the test. We've seen Ron have to prove several times this season how much he needs and loves Kim. But I'd like to see Kim have a few angsty moments with Ron... Especially in the finale. We get it. They are a couple. But I need to see her point of view on it...

Opinions, anyone? Does anyone here even watch KP? Or am I ranting on like a lunatic with a show that nobody watches?

Yeah, I watch it... Kinda. I -was- a die hard fan in it's first - third seasons, sent e-mails and stuff to get it back and... Well when it came back I d/led some episodes, but they pretty much just stay inactive on my computer. I think I watched most of them after a month... I'm sure I still have some that I have d/led that I haven't watched.

I think it was the timing that did it. KP came back, I was getting into Lost, Fosters and Avatar, Danny Phantom was ending (this I was even more upset about then the original KP ending. I LOVE DP) I was watching alot of stuff, there was no room for KP.

And my best buddy that I met though a KP forum wasn't into it anymore so there was no peer pressure XD

I'll prob d/l all the other eppies I don't have and watch them all sometime. I own it to myself and the fandom XD

I love Drakken btw :3

I used to watch this show all the time, because Ron cracks me up. My favorite part with him is when he is shooting the hook shot onto the roof, and it rips off an article of clothing like three times in a row.

I couldn't stop laughing, I found it highly amusing, then again I find almost everything highly amusing haha =)

I also enjoy Drakken, and his hilarious antics, him and Shego. I also enjoy Duff Killigan haha, his exploding golf balls make me giggle :3 I also like Bonnie, her stuck up attitude makes me laugh, and we both look alike (except I have brown eyes, and hers are blue, if I recall correctly) and share the same first name

Anyways, I don't watch it as much, since I kind of carried on with other interesting shows, but I will be watching the finale, I look forward to it.

Kim Possible's return and fall to me is the biggest insult to ever befall the animated TV world of the Walt Disney corp. Aside from their fantastic Disney afternoon shows, Kim Possible has been the one true gem amongst all modern animated toons that proved to be as funny, sharp, and witty as any adult show.

The characters are lovable, fun to watch, and characters that we can all enjoy and relate to on some level. It takes super hero crime fighting to a whole new level, it could have easily become a kiddie show with bad guys like Duff Killigan or Monkey Fist. But they managed to make it not be lame AND funny to boot.

Drakken to me is the best character on the show. His whining and temper tantrums are hilarious and every ounce of screen time he gets is well used and hardly ever wasted. Shego and him may not be the stars of the show but sometimes I think they end up stealing it. Anyways, this truly pisses me off.

The fact the show was canceled after being brought back is downright disgusting. It's the ONLY quality show they got going toon wise, and if Disney truly knew just how good this show is, they'd be bending over backwards to keep the shows creators around since that's what I heard why it's ending.

I also feel this new season has been a thousand times better then any episode of the original seasons, they improved on every flaw the old seasons suffered from and perfected nearly everything. I truly hope they keep the reruns going so i can eventually get the whole new season recorded on tape.

On that subject, does anyone know when the finale will air? I sure as hell don't plan on missing that for the world.

Like most others here, I used to enjoy this show back in its first three seasons - in theory, the concept of a crime-fighting cheerleader who routinely saves the planet from megalomaniacs sounds like the makings of the worst cartoon in history (and indeed, I found KP to be a very difficult show to sell to others by word-of-mouth, who usually scoffed when I mentioned that I watched such a show), but when I first tuned in I was pleasantly surprised by just how slick and refreshing it was...not to mention that the fight scenes, usually those that went on between Kim and Shego, were genuinely serious and exciting (those acidic green hands of Shego's were a nasty, albeit awe-inspiring, weapon). I like to think of it as the Disney Channel's swansong, and after it's initial cancellation I'd decided that I was pretty much done with the DC. I do keep meaning to check out the new series (thus far, I've only seen one episode on You Tube), in part because I'm just so delighted to hear that they finally brought back one of my favourite villians Frugal Lucre (that he'd never returned in any of the previous seasons was always one of my biggest regrets). But other than that, I'd say my enthusiasm for KP has largely burnt out, a process which begun long before Season 3 aired its last. I put it largely down to the show's hostile online fanbase who, as I've mentioned in another thread, consisted predominantly of rabid Kim/Ron shippers who didn't seem to like anybody talking about anything else...I spent very little time with that crowd overall, but it had nonetheless succeeded in killing a lot of the fun for me. Fond of Drakken, Shego and Monty Fiske though I was, I never quite managed to muster the energy to start writing letters to Disney to renew the show...by the time they announced that, contrary to DC's previous line, a fourth season was in the works, I'd long since moved on. That said, I've still managed to keep in touch with the small group of friends I made online whilst discussing the show - friends who, like me, were renegades from the mainstream fanbase. Go us.

Friday, September 7th from 8:00 to 9:00 PM... Starting on Wednesday the 5th at noon, they're running every episode from every season (not sure if they're in order, check here)

Edit: I don't think so, but it's still every episode. Including the old ones, which I haven't seen in a while. I think all of the episodes are up on YouTube now, too...

Well, I wouldn't call it the one true gem, but I will admit that I love this show. I've seen almost every episode and the writing and voice-acting are pretty sharp.

Too bad this is truly the end. However at least it can go out on top, instead of getting to the point where they're recycling scripts.

Aww man! Kim Possible was one of the best cartoons ever! I'll miss it but wait, wasn't this last season made because of the fans (in a way, you know what I mean), I thought that it would last a while longer.
