Fosters Goes to Prescott, AZ

This house is located up a hill (Nob Hill) from the Courthouse and square. This home among others are national landmarks. Everything is original down to the lead glass windows. The house next door to it is where a young Barry Goldwater (future Senator) lived. But what I like about the house, is the similarities between it and it's cartoon counterpart.

What a lovely house. With my love of history, especially the Victorian/Edwardian eras, I love seeing these and picturing people wearing the period's clothing walking through those very doors and cleaning those very windows and sweeping those very floor boards. It'd be fun imagining imaginary friends running though the halls, too.

When I was up in Bellingham, WA a few weeks ago, we drove by a street called "Wilson". I don't think it ended with "Way", probably "Dr." or "St.", but it was still pretty cool. There were some old Victorian houses in that area too.

Lynnie - thanks so much. And did somone say "history?" I majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in history. My fav eras are post civil war thru 1945, ancient civilizations (I lived in Cairo when I was young), and Russian History (preferably covering Nicholas II). I am into military history as well. My specialty however is mining towns in the west.

Aah, I love that house! I wish I could just spend a few days there, daydreaming about all the things that happened within those walls in days gone by. That second one is cool looking too, and clearly also very old. I'm sure imaginary friends would have a hay day running through there as well.

Very nice! My specialties are medieval Europe, and the whole Victorian and Edwardian eras (aprox 1840-1912) and WWI era, or the "teens". I love the clothing of those times and learning what every day life was like for every day type of people. I do have an interest for all eras to some extent, but must admit my attention wanes when approaching WWII times. My dad overexposed me to that era while growing up. But yeah, I love history, and enjoy learning new things about it, I find it fascinating.
