I just saw it on "On Demand". I don't know if the whole country gets Comcast, but for those who you should check this episode out! It was funny & it showed a helpful side of Bloo. Frankie wasn't in this one much & Goo didn't appear. Madame Foster did have a semi-big role though.

Careful here, let's not spoil the episode for those who haven't seen it yet. Please use the spoiler button or maybe the PM system, just to be on the safe side, when revealing episode details, okay? :)

Just to clear things up, I wasn't asking for a full sypnopsis on the episode itself. I want to know exactly how he got to see it, even though it isn't supposed to debut until next month.

IB's absolutely correct. It *is* on Comcast's On Demand. I'm going to watch it right now.

Thanks IB.

Yup, it's true: no Goo. :) I'm just glad to see that they're not dead-set on putting her in *every* episode.

Nothing having to do with the episode: the picture quality was really bad - I wonder if all On Demand programs are like that. :P I'll definately NEED to re-record this ep when it airs, to make decent screengrabs. Speaking of - *shall* I go ahead and make screengrabs of this ep now or wait until it airs?

Cassini90125
10-13-2006, 04:05 PM
If they're that bad then you're just going to end up replacing them after the episode airs. Why waste the effort?

Sparky
10-13-2006, 04:13 PM
Yeah - and I was thinking that I'd be trying hard to not cap anything with bad pixellation, so I'd not be able to cap half the stuff I would normally anyways. Oh well.

I just watched it on Demand and I gotta say, if this episode is a sign of things to come then by all means, let the good times roll! This episode was fantastic. It was hilarious, had a good message, and it is probably Bloo's greatest episode.

I won't spoil anything for you guys but let me just say that you will see a whole new side of Bloo in this episode.....literally. Also, Frankie has a pretty good sized role in the beginning and like Sparky said, Madame Foster is bad ass here.

I watched this last night. Fantastic episode! (It definately made up for The Big Cheese, which I thought was horrible.) I loved seeing different sides to Bloo and Madam Foster besides the selfish jerk and the crazy old lady. If anyone remembers the one-eyed cat-like friend from Phone Home and Adoptalypse Now, he gets a large part this time around. Chuck (the actual cat) was adorable. :berry:

OMG OMG OMG!!!

*GOES TO WATCH THIS INSTANT!!!*

EDIT: That was just so sweet. Bloo's affection for Chuck was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. I really loved his expressions in this episode as well. From the faces he made while voicing Purple and Sharkhead to the endless amount of "sad" faces he made. But the thing I'm really impressed with is that Bloo showed a whole different side to his personality, but it didn't feel forced or put upon, and I never got the impression that this Bloo was an imposter. It was just some more brillient character development on the part of the Foster's crew. Bravo guys! This is now one of my favorites.

You know, I can't help but vaguely wonder what those who belong to the 'Bloo is the spawn of the devil' school of thought are going to make of this episode...

What no one else likes Purple & Sharkhead? :P

Heh, I almost forgot about them. ^^;;

I was half expecting Purple to repsond at the very last second during the credits. I was wrong, although the shot of him just staring at the audience creeped me out a little.

I almost wish Purple and Sharkhead were actual imaginary friends. Even with Bloo behind their actions, they are quite the pair. *laughs* Speaking of Bloo, I thought the entire "arguement" in front of the family was priceless.

I feel bad for all those who can't see this episode. But I'm going to say this right now: KAGERI, STEAL YOUR NEIGHBORS CABLE! LIKE, RIGHT NOW! THIS EPISODE WAS MADE FOR US AND THOSE LIKE US!

*ahem* But, yeah, I wonder if someone could coax Sparky into making this episode downloadable. It seems somewhat unfair that only half the forum is allowed to see it, while the other half is forced to wait in complete and utter agony. ;)

Sparky
10-15-2006, 07:30 PM
If someone offers me webspace I'll send it to them (Klown maybe?). Because I can't host any more eps on my own site, it killed my bandwidth last time.

Unless you're asking me to brave Yousendit or something. Yousendit scares me.

(And remember, its a crappy copy. My brother tells me that's common for On Demand to have bad digital quality. Cheapos.)

By the way, I think my favorite moment in the episode was:

"KISS!!"

Why was that so funny??

Sparky
10-15-2006, 08:55 PM
Okay, I am making an attempt to get it up on Yousendit right now. It's 51 MB. It says it will take over an hour and a half.

edit: I just noticed the audio on the file is mono. Sometimes the connections on the back of the TV that lead to the computer get loose and that happens. :P Sorry about that. It's still uploading btw. Also, I am going to go ahead and screencap it. I want to be the first to cap it, and once the file is out there someone else could beat me to it, lol. ;)

Well the upload has been stuck at 1 hr and 9 min remaining for over an hour now, so I don't know if it's going to make it. :P

I'm uploading the screengrabs now, though. I did okay working around the glitches, so I don't think I'll be recapping the ep later on. I *will* rerecord it though, just to have.

WHY IS THIS CRUEL FATE UPON MEEEEEeeeeee.....

If all episodes are fast like this, that's good, so I can expect at least a part of Season 4 in November (Yes, I'm getting COTS 7 à 8 months after you guys. ;)).

Well Well...

50 410 "Make-Believe It Or Not!" November 10 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_10), 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006)
51 411 "Emancipation Complication" November 17 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_17), 2006 = PS3 release date (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006)
Not too much eps for season 4. We know _all_ the air dates now. :cheese:

It's labled as S, and is right next to the "ABC" with the line crossing it out (which is the STRIKE tag).

(Eppy spoilers below, of course.)

Heh. Bloo is such a ******* as usual. Although I know how he feels. And the police are silly, trying to talk to Purple. Purple is going to get 20 years maximum, though he would no doubt get off early for good behavior.

It will be monumental! A major milestone for Bloo, not unlike saying one's first words or going to preschool. Come to think of it, Bloo could probably learn some things from going to preschool, but I digress. I'm jealous of all of you.

What's the big idea with putting it on that On Demand thingy before TV, anyway? What about all the people who don't have Comcast? Not like I would have even really cared if this didn't involve me not having Comcast, but still!

The montage of Chuck and Bloo doing stuff together was probably one of the cutest things that's ever been on Foster's, and it's just an awesome Bloo episode overall.... but they made him cry again. Bloo crying makes my heart sad. Mac didn't do much, which was too bad.

Remember what I said about me waiting until "Bloo's the Boss" made it's official debut next month?

Well, I lied. I just downloaded and watched this episode, and let me say, it's DEFINITELY worth the three month wait. In fact, it's already one of my favorites of Season 4 so far, and I seriously hope it's an indication of things to come.

I wanted to hug Bloo. A LOT. The friendship between him and Chuck has to be one of the most heartwarming moments in the entire series. And it was great how he gave the girl the one-eyed cat friend that Madame Foster rescued at the beginning.

If you did, you're not the only one. I have no idea what that was about. Maybe we'll figure it out on the 3rd, when we can see it on a larger screen.

Sparky
10-22-2006, 04:28 PM
Wilt seemed to be doing some plumbing repairs - as I recall there were some clinks as if he was tightening a pipe or summat; or perhaps he was reaching down the drain for a lost item (like in WtaWTaW where he fetched Duchess' zirconium ring from the sink). It was just creepy how he had such a large audience, lol...

edit: just watched it again - after the clinking there was a *pop* and a squeak, and then there was a bit in my copy where the picture goes black. My GUESS is that he was pulling Ed's rubber duckie out of the drain, and during the black bit it popped up out of the air maybe?

edit again: yes Ed is NOT holding something before the blackness and holding something pink afterwords. Wilt must have popped something pink and squeaky out of the drain and it flew into the air and Ed caught it. It might be the elephant.

edit once more: I honestly don't believe *this* needs spoiler tags! So I'm not adding any.

They never explained it, maybe Ed was taking a bath with him & forgot to take him out before doing the drain. Wilt also threw Paco, not pop him.

Ah, so THAT explains why he still has his shoes on! I would have to seriously be concerned for anyone who keeps sneakers on in the bath(my ex-bf in college wore flip-flops in the shower, mentioned on another thread, but that's not quite the same as a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars, is it?).

Ah, such a versitile individual I shall not meet in this life-time as the Wilt-Man!

I wasn't assuming that anyone at the house was watching Wilt take a bath(though I have to admit the notion IS intriguing...). I assumed that he was relaxing in the bath when some commotion took place outside that got his attention, causing him to cut short his brief respite from his chores to go to help/rescue someone. As seen in the above posts, though, Wilt was not taking a bath at all, but unclogging the drain, which apparently had a small stuffed Beanie Buddie bunny(try saying THAT 10 times really fast)stuck in it. That would, of course, explain why Wilt still was wearing his shoes even though he was in the tub.

Oddly enough, it's still on Comcast where I live. Glad I got to catch it when I did. It's the best Season 4 episode by far.

Viva la Sharkhead and Purple!

Seriously, though.....I think this was one of Bloo's shining moments. The entire sequence between Mac and Bloo once Bloo starts his House for Imaginary Friends has to be one of the best "back-and-forth" moments between Mac and Bloo in the entire series, in my honest opinion. I loved every second of it, and, in a way, wish I was watching it again right now.

By the by, I was about to say I could've watched an entire episode of Bloo just doing the whole Sharkhead and Purple schtick, but I really just did so that would kinda be repetitive.

I loved the whole bit with "Purple" and "Sharkhead"(poor Sharkhead-I hope they find him)and the interaction between Mac and Bloo, as well as how Madame Foster saves the day...and that family who tried to adopt Chuck reacts when they get the bill from the police, SWAT Team, fire dept., etc., sent to find a "stolen" cat, of all things.

Did anyone other than me get a really big laugh out of Bloo saving Chuck's puked-up hairball? Only someone who's experienced stepping on a fresh one of those, barefooted, in the middle of the night, would appreciate that, LOL!

OK, I've thought long and hard over this, but maybe Purple and Sharkhead are like a superego and id to Bloo (if you don't know what that means, think of all those scenes where somebody has a little angel and a little devil on opposite sides of the characters head, coaxing to do what right/wrong, etc.). Purple is like Bloo's compassionate/cute site and Sharkhead's his mean/nasty/cunning side.

What's also interesting is that Bloo treats them as seperate characters/things, and since he's inprov'ing them both, he's basically talking to himself, even though he thinks they're seperate beings. Maybe it's a byproduct that IF's can't make their own IF's.

I think everyone is thinking WAYYYYYYYY and I stress the WAYYYYYY too much into this. Bloo was being down right stupid and he was so absorbed into his piss poor illusion that he had imaginary friends, he just kept the gag going.

Plus, it would be boring if Bloo just did this by himself and didn't talk to anyone. I seriously doubt Purple or Sharkhead have any psychological identities and will ever appear again. There a joke and I don't think they will become anything more.

I don't think Bloo thinks there real, I think he knows there fake and he's just trying to delude Mac (and maybe himself) into the fact he was doing something nice which was the whole point.

I noticed that as well, Mac was quite cranky. I'm thinking it might be an after-effect of how Bloo has treated him recently.

The topic creator said that "Frankie doesn't appear much in this one"--but I thought she had a really good supporting role in this episode. I loved how she acted all giddy and proud of her grandma in the kitchen in front of a jealous Bloo. And I can't believe NO ONE has brought up the explicit Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy reference that she makes at the beginning: "ZZ9 plural Z alpha go!"

The scene in the kitchen had to have been one of my favorite moments in this episode. I think that it's fairly obvious that Frankie has some kind of admiration for her grandma, but it was nice (and cute) to see her reenact the event in the kitchen.

Well, has anyone else noticed Mac's behavior in this? He wasn't all that nice at all.

Well, let's face it. Bloo is so aggressive at times that, to get something through his thick little skull, you have to push it through. And besides, Bloo was stating how he intended to live in a cardboard shack with puppets and animals, believing this somehow proved he was capable of good deeds. I'm not sure how you would explain how stupid that was to someone while sounding nice about it.

And, hey, Mac was fairly amiable at the beginning before, you know, Bloo's insane little idea truly manifested itself before him.

Funny that this thread happened to be revived just now, since something about this episode had recently occurred to me - well, okay, not recently, it actually crossed my mind a long while back, but I just never got round to posting about it here and then, I don't know, it kind of slipped my mind for a bit. Anyway...

Did anyone else think it slightly strange that the name Bloo had chosen for his new feline friend - Chuck - just happened to be the same name that his owner had given him? And yes, it is apparently a coincidence, since Chuck wasn't wearing a collar or tags or anything like that which could have indicated his moniker to Bloo. His owner didn't correct the gang as to his real name, and she always referred to him as Chuck herself, so we can only really assume that, unless Chuck's owner is even further out of it than she seems, they both came up with the name independently. Stranger things have happened, I suppose.
