View Full Version : Frankie Foster's closet

The purpose of this thread is very simple; it's for pictures of Frankie, and only Frankie (hence the title), wearing outfits that we don't see on the show. While I imagine that the thread will contain mostly shots of my Frankie Sim, which is the reason I created it, everyone else is by all means enouraged to contribute their own original works of art (nothing naughty or of questionable taste, please). Just use the above as guidelines, and let your imagination do the rest.

We begin with a familiar shirt:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC001.jpg

It's Monday morning, the first day of Autumn in Foster's Valley, and it's too hot to be cooking breakfast while wearing a green sweater, so away it went. Omelets are on the menu today. Here's another view, as breakfast is served:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC002.jpg

Eyes back in your heads, boys. An extra special thank-you to Sparky, who created the shirt. Great work! :)

One of the early pics of Frankie on the official Production Blog showed her in a denim outfit of some sort, while another showed her with blonde hair. I got it into my head to combine them, and this was the result:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC003.jpg

It almost doesn't look like Frankie. I think it looks pretty good, although the hair takes some getting used to.

One of my favorite outfits in the entire game:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC004.jpg

The reason it's one of my favorites is because it's the outfit worn by Sarah Sussman, the very first Sim that I ever created. Her story is in the Sims thread on the old Forum, where it was the subject of my 1000th post. She's still one of my favorites and always will be. :)

Another denim outfit:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC005.jpg

Perfect for a trip downtown, I think, which is where she was heading. I think she's smiling because she's happy to get out of the house for awhile. The IF's are in school, Madam Foster and Mr. Herriman are right behind her, and Woof is already in the cab. They're off to the Commandgo Emporium for lunch, a little relaxation, and to pick up one more outfit:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC006.jpg

Who says redheads can't wear purple? I think it looks fantastic! @_@

Comments are appreciated, as always. More to come; stay tuned.

I'm a redhead and *I* wear purple, and it's one of my "best" colors. I think those Sims look great and really DO like just like I'd imagine Frankie to look in "real life", by the way.

Cool! That 2nd denim one especially is really good, it really goes with Frankie's DIY-punk thing. Everyone looks cool in denim.

Wow! Those are great Cassini! I imagine that if Frankie were out here, in our real world, she would look exactly like her forms in those shots.

Thanks, everyone.

Take a look at this:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/F6J.jpg

It's the same outfit, in six different colors. Which one do y'all think looks best on her? I'm partial to #4, but not by much; in truth, I think they all look pretty good on her. You guys pick a color, I'll include a larger shot of the winner in a future post here. (If there's a tie, I'll flip a coin or something.)

I personally think the 4th one (pink) is also a good dress for Frankie, I also really like the 6th and last one, the blue one. I think that has a more of a casual/fancy look to it but that's just me personally.

As I said before I love purple so Frankie will look good in any form of it considering how hot she is in her already purple skirt. I personally dislike the blue jean "town outfit", it seems wrong for someone like Frankie and just doesn't fit her age or personality if you ask me.

I love the blue sweater and pink pants though, very cute and very "sweet" looking.

I'm a red head and I almost always wear purple.8D

All your Frankies look great! Personally though, I like number 4 and number 6 the best. :)

I especially love Frankie's expression in that picture, Duck.

Oh, and the Frankie Sim dresses, I really think she looks good in #4, but #1 also looks good. I guess I'm used to her original colors. *shrug*

Edit: Now I'm tempted to draw something of Frankie... hmmmm...

I want to thank you folks for your wonderful comments, and I am here to say that there is more. I am working on one where she is up to bat. Like her Coco Card said, she has an incredible batting average. BOO-YAH!

By the way, I will be working on Cassini's request after this one.

Looking forward to it!

If Frankie had gone to private school (and for all we know she did), do you think her uniform might have looked something like this?

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFF01.jpg

Everytime I look at that photo I'm tempted to fire up the InSIMenator, roll back her age, and pack her off to college. I haven't, of course, as the House would fall apart without her. Still, it's something to think about. In any case, one good school uniform deserves another:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFF02.jpg

Oh, come on! You all knew I was going to dress her in a Sailor Moon outfit sooner or later! 8D

I'll spend the rest of the year apologising to her for it, too.

This one I caught by accident:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFF03.jpg

I had tried this outfit on her while playing the House and saved the game without changing her back into her regular clothes. The next day I was playing a different lot and sent the residents there to the mall. Frankie happened to walk by, and I paused the game and got the shot. I like this outfit a lot. And, with all due respect to Craig, I think my version of Frankie has better legs. ;D

As much as I like the last outfit, I like this one even better:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFF04.jpg

Dress #4 from the six choices in post #8, caught under the same circumstances as the previous outfit. Here's another look:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFF05.jpg

These two shots are among my favorites of all the Frankie pics I've taken. It's mid-Autumn in Foster's Valley, there's a light rain falling, and the colors and hues are all in perfect harmony. And look at her expression in the second shot; I live for expressions like that.

And finally, Frankie as you've never seen her before:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFF06.jpg

Fine chainmail armor, green suede leather boots, and a massive broadsword. Here's another look:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFF07.jpg

And, as she demonstrates in this video shows, she knows how to use that sword, too:

Bet that Dylan guy is running for his life right about now. 8D

I really like numbers 3, 4 and 6. But if I had to pick only one it would be 4 since that one just draws my eyes more then the others. :D
And great pick, Ducky! Is it any coincidence that the volleyball is blue?;)8D

Wow, Duck, that is great! Keep up the good work! Actually, I was thinking that it would be neat to see Frankie dressed as Blossom from PPG's. Bloo could be all grumpy dressed up as Bubbles and Madam Foster could be Buttercup.
I thought of that when I was trying to think of what Frankie would wear on Halloween.8D I'd draw it but my drawing skills have greatly diminished after high-school.:( Maybe it's time to pick up the pencil again...

Once again folks, I want to thank ALL of you for your comments and feedback regarding the Frankie/Daphne pic. I am currently working on one that was supposed to be out before the Daphne look. For Halloween outfits, if there ever was one I wanted to see drawn on Frankie it would definitely be Misty from Pokemon. It's a simple and yet attractive outfit and Frankie's already a red head so you already got a step up in that area.

The Powerpuff girl thing would be kind of funny, ironic actually. Also Frankie would make a down right delicious Ariel the mermaid :-*.

Well, if we're gonna talk characters she has a close phsysical resembalance to, you can't go past Vicky the evil babysitter. Same hair, similar duds, same voice actor, and Vicky's voice sounds just like a more sickly sweet version of Frankie's.

Thanks Medikor. I look at it this way: Frankie is a redhead, and her eyes are green (according to her license), so I figured she has freckles as most redheads do. I still kept the Foster's style instead of mine (I do have my own toons).

Just out of curiosity, which cheat code are you referring to?

This is pretty much the same picture as the earlier one, albeit a day later. In this one I used a few tricks to coax the game into producing a better image so you can see the details of her clothes:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/TF2.jpg

Quite a difference, I'd say. The effect is even more pronounced on other outfits with more colors in them. I may post pics of some of those outfits at a later date; right now I'm still experimenting with the graphics.

Just out of curiosity, which cheat code are you referring to?

I haven't played that game for a long time, so I can't remember. I'll have to play it again, I guess. I don't know if it's true, but I think I saw all the cheat codes I used while I played; they were on the Sims 2 files located on my computer. I'll check that.
I think it's one that you can only use to make people older, but not younger.
Maybe you can find it on the Sims 2 web page... I can't look for it right now... I'm supposed to be doing my homework, and it's really late, so... good luck (if you are going to look for it) and good-bye.
I'm such a bad girl... ::) :nono:

By the way, the new picture of the teenager Frankie is much better now. :)

I haven't checked it yet, but I think I now remember how to use that cheat code. However, it's not exactly a cheat code; first, you press Control or Shift (I don't remember which is the right one) + C. When a little box on the top of the screen appears, you write boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true, or something like that. Then, you select a Sim (in this case it would be Frankie) and while you are pressing Shift, you click on him or her. Now, there should be some options that usually don't appear. Look for the one which says "age transition", I think. And then I can't remember what's next, but I'm sure there's another thing to make Sims older.
I hope it's the right way. :)

I was playing the game earlier today when teen Frankie showed up at the park. I hadn't yet picked out a formalwear outfit for her, and I was curious as to what the game system had chosen. A few clicks of the mouse later, this is what I discovered:

Teen Frankie took a trip to Cold Issue Clothing earlier today and found a couple of outfits that I really liked. The first looks kind of familiar:

This is as close as I've been able to come to the pink & purple outfit seen all too briefly in Frankie My Dear. Not bad, not bad at all. The second outfit is something a little different but absolutely spectacular as far as I'm concerned:

I was playing the game earlier today when teen Frankie showed up at the park. I hadn't yet picked out a formalwear outfit for her, and I was curious as to what the game system had chosen. A few clicks of the mouse later, this is what I discovered:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/Formal.jpg

I hate how grass looks on my old system but it can't be helped. I'll live with it. As for the dress, it's not the little black classic but I think it's cute and really sweet.

Definitely cute amd sweet - me likey Cass! On her times off, Frankie deserves nothing but the best!

That she does. Just for the record, she doesn't work at Foster's; in fact, she's the only character from Foster's or any other show in the game on my old system. Here she's just a regular schoolgirl with a part-time job as a substitue teacher.

Her lifetime goal is to become Secretary of Education. She'll be heading off to college fairly soon, where she'll be majoring in either Biology or Psychology (probably the latter). I'd start a thread to chronicle her adventures there but I don't think there's enough interest to warrant it.

For the record, everyone, in case I haven't said this before, the clothing you've seen in this thread and elsewhere is not created by me; I'm nowhere near that talented. Most of what you've seen was produced by the highly talented artists at The Sims Resource (http://www.thesimsresource.com/), a paysite that has paid for itself a dozen times over. Clothes, hair, houses, furnishings, they've got everything there, and it's all great stuff.

What the well-dressed substitute teacher wears to work:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/TFW.jpg

In this pic our teen dream has just returned home from another long day at Pleasantview Elementary. She's on the phone with Brandon Lillard, who was part of the Welcome Wagon that showed up on Day One and ate half of her food and fouled the bathroom. If you have the game you know him as the guy who wears a kilt. Shortly after this photo was taken, Frankie, exhausted from another long day, took a well-deserved nap before heading out for some recreation. The outfit shown came with the game and is more or less a "uniform", worn by all teen female substitute teachers. Feminine and professional, all in one.

This is a picture of what i think Frankie's closet looks like. Her personality concludes that the equasion of the factor equal to the square root of pi, says that she'd have a messy closet, when I do my calculations correctly.

This is based completely on facts.

Very Precise. I see that your logic here is very accurate, and I cannot argue with you findings.

the colors in Ms. Frances Foster's closet might indicate that she is, indeed, and extrovert. and enjoys being outgoing.

Looks like silk, soft and "floaty" and hangs perfectly on almost anybody. And green always looks great on a red head. I like it! Wish I had one like it.

Yes, it does, and here's more proof of that:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/TFG.jpg

Cozy wool woven in a classic diamond pattern with matching socks, paired with a leather belt and suede boots, this is a perfect outfit for the holiday season. Warm and stylish, this one has "Autumn" written all over it. And then there's this ensemble:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/TFB.jpg

Multiple shades of blue, combined in a sweater and skirt set with matching blue shoes, all a wonderful contrast to Our Miss Foster's lovely red hair. Great for an evening at one of the local nightclubs, this one really makes my head spin, and as some of you know, blue is my favorite color.

Both outfits from TSR; the blue outfit is by Agent 420, who also created the hair that my adult version of Frankie uses. I found both outfits by accident while looking for wallpaper, said, "Oooo, I've got to download these for Frankie!", and, well, I did, and here they are.

Those outfits look awesome on Frankie. The green does bring out her green eyes, and the blue is very nice too! I disagree with Wendi about having loud colors make the person outgoing; I always thought Frankie was more reserved and kind of a social mongoloid (dating as an example). She reserves her outgoing nature only to the friends she keeps.

My thanks to all who commented, and to the creators of the outfits, of course.

Since I've been busy trying to get Foster's Valley up and running again I haven't paid as much attention to my old system game as I should, but I do get back to it when I can. Late last week I checked in on teen Frankie and after an hour or so of play, this was the result:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/TFPS1.jpg

She may not be much of a schmoozer but she does keep a tidy house, and she sure knows how to cook. The next day she's off to start classes at the Pleasantview Girls Academy, and I got a shot of her in her spiffy new uniform:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/TFPS2.jpg

A bit too "preppy" for my taste but it still looks pretty dang good on her. After school she got her homework out of the way early, went to her substitute teaching job for three hours, and then it was time to play dress-up and go out for some fun:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/TFPS3.jpg

This pic was taken in her bedroom moments before the taxi arrived. I love the way the metallic blue skirt contrasts with her hair. It's a great outfit for a warm summer evening; it's the middle of winter in Pleasantview right now, but the Sims don't care.

The color of this new one is beautiful. I'm not too fond of the style though. I think it would have either looked better with a slightly longer fluttery skirt, or shorter sleeves. A super short skirt and super long sleeves just looks too '60s hippie to me. And the '60s have never offered my favorite historical fashions. :P Just MHO.

Sequins are cool though, and the tie-die look is fine. It reminds me of a swirl of blueberries and vanilla yogurt.

A lot of the outfits I try out on her are just for fun, just one-shot items used for show, nothing more. Truth is, it's sometimes hard to figure out exactly what to dress her in; the show hasn't given us a lot of information in that area. Considering the work she does I think she'd generally favor casual outfits, dressing for function rather than appearance, saving the good stuff for an occasional night out. Eventually I'll probably do a "Frankie's Night Out" story in the Foster's Valley thread, if I can decide on a really good outfit for it. Shoes and boots are unfortunately not a separate item; they're incorporated into the outfit. There's an explanation for that somewhere on the EA Games site but I don't even pretend to fully understand it. :bloocross:

It might be different when the Sims 3 comes out in 2009 but I kind of doubt it, and I don't plan on buying the game anyway.

Anyway, while digging around in Body Shop's clothing files I found this outfit. I have no idea who Rikku is, other than that she's a character from Final Fantasy. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FF_FFX.jpg

Not bad, if I do say so myself. The temperature on Mars is far too cold for an outfit like this, but the heavy-duty boots are perfect for the rocky terrain and the long hike between craters. :bloocross:

I have no idea who Chun-Li is but I'll be happy to look for her outfit if you wish. No guarantees of success, though. ;)

Just for the record everyone, I'm sorry that all of the recent photos have been from the CAS and Body Shop programs instead of in the House or around town. For some unfathomable reason the game has been crashing when my Sims try to buy new clothes; it's quite annoying, as you might expect, but as yet I haven't been able to do much about it. Needless to say, I'm working on it.

In the meantime, I ran CAS the other day, mostly to review what I had and what I was willing to part with. I should do the same with my own closet someday. 8D When I finished I decided to have a little fun. I've always liked these outfits but I've never used them in the game. Anyway, Frankie graciously agreed to model them for us, and here they are:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFRPC.jpg

The first is called "Red Goth"; normally this one is only available for teens but someone at MTS2 fixed that. The remaining three are from TSR. They all look great on her; I'd have a very hard time picking a favorite but if I had to I suppose it would likely be the fourth one, which works for many occasions from semi-formal events to a trip to the market. #2 is great for casual affairs and everyday use, particularly in cooler weather, while #3 is certainly for warmer days and nights at the higher-class clubs and restaurants. #1 is punk, pure and simple, and all about a semi-rowdy night on the town. Don't mess with a woman wearing a spiked collar!

So, yeah, that's the latest collection. Comments and critiques are appreciated, as always.

I like all four of these, especially the last two, although that's only MPO since they're most "me" of the four. :berry: The second one is very creative, I like the red/black plaid patch on her jeans. It looks very "punk rock" to me. Yup, that's our Frankie. I like the lace cardigan on the third. I personally would prefer strait sleeves rather than puffed, but it still looks nice over that dress-- top?-- dress? Looks like a top and skirt. Either way, it looks nice. And yeah, that fourth one is very classy and go-anywhere. I have a number like it myself. I even like the colors.

Hmm, the goth look deals with black and silver metals, symbolizing death and bondage in hell, and sometimes involves the wearer wearing makeup to look like a corpse, and they're usually also very sullen in expression. The punk look involves colors, the louder, more clashing and weird looking the better, and the wearer is usually much livelier. Her top could be either, but I'd call this punk. And I think it's worn very well by Frankie since, after all, she is punk rock!

I like that, very flattering. I personally think the waistline is a bit high, but I can't see it too well since her arm is in the way. It looks like there's a belt, and the belt is lower than the actual waistline of the skirt. If the belt is accenting her waist more than the actual skirt waistline, it's just part of the style and would look better. Other than that though, I like the coloring on her, and the ribbing affect of the skirt. It looks like a clingy polyester blend that a lot of skirts are made of. It's a rather flattering material if it's cut right.

I like her wedges, too.

For some reason I've always felt that Frankie has a preference for wedges over spikes or other heels. Not sure why I think that; probably because she wore wedges in Frankie My Dear and the idea got stuck in my head.

I like the outfit Cass; especially the comfort it will bring in the Pacific Northwest weather. Wedges for Frankie? Absolutely! I cannot see her wearing any other style of heel.

I feel as if I haven't been to here for a VERY long time (something Cass would not approve of). So, I'm just going to contribute to this and present to you my new Frankie art:

Frankie Foster as the Grey Spy (from Spy vs. Spy) (http://loudnoises.deviantart.com/art/Frankie-as-the-Grey-Spy-88783227) :-*

I bet Mac and Bloo are wanting to be white and black spy now!

I've always liked purple on Frankie. It works well for her regular skirt on the show, and it works in this outfit as well:

I'm really not sure how to categorize this one; "retro", perhaps? It's a recent acquisition from TSR, as usual. I took one look and hit the download button without hesitation. Good for a night in the city in Autumn, it's quite an attention-getter; it certainly got my attention quick enough. And speaking of attention-getters, here's one I call "Blue Shock":

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC11340.jpg

What a standout; this one is for a woman determined to stand out in a crowd, any crowd. I can't truthfully see our Miss Foster wearing something like this; good as it looks, I think she'd prefer something a little quieter. I love how the bright blue color contrasts with the rich red of her hair and the emerad green of her eyes. This one was created by a gentleman in Poland and can be found on the Exchange, where it has a five star rating. And lastly, there's this gem:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFC11342.jpg

Another from TSR, this is one of my all-time favorites; a simple black dress with a blue waistbabd and matching floral embroidery. It works for nearly any occasion and any season. Really blows me away. A true classic in my opinion, just like the lady wearing it. :-*

Anyway, that's the latest set. As always, feel free to comment.

I really like the first one, I agree with the purple looking good on her, at least that shade does. And the style of that dress is actually very stylish. Kind of different, but in the good way. The colors, textures, and cut all look excellent together.

I love the color of the second one, and it looks halographic or something, kind of cool. I'm not too crazy about the texture clash between her tights and the dress, though. But the color and style are both very nice.

And the third has got to be my favorite, probably because it's something I myself would wear. It almost looks velvet, is it suppose to be? The blue waistband and embroydery are both gorgeous. I'd just prefer the skirt just a tad longer (it actually looks a little shorter than the SIM default length). Other than that though, I absolutely love that third one.

I like the black dress the best. I think of FMD. Put her wedges on her with those straps at the ankles and YOWZA!

I like the colors in the first two-- the royal purple and ice blue look great! I particularly like the pose Frankie is in with the first outfit-- the outfit reminds me of the 60's, and the peace sign is just the right accessory! The texture of the tights in the second one is, I think, a little on the loud side, but it looks really good nonetheless. Once again, love the ice blue, and it looks fantastic with the white of the tunic pattern.

I really like the last one-- the simple black, when paired with the silver embroidery and the blue waistband, looks fantastic on our favorite redhead!

Fantastic overall, Cassini! :)

Y'know something? I feel like contributing to our favoriate redhead's cloest. Just be forewarned-- I'm bad at drawing, so please don't kill me if a messed up. (Comments in parentheses.)

Frankie in a Kimono (http://supergeek17.deviantart.com/art/Frankie-in-a-Kimono-90899715) (Inspired by Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Goldman)

Frankie as... (http://supergeek17.deviantart.com/art/Capt-Frankie-Janeway-90900305) (Not exactly something Frankie would wear in an everyday situation, but it was too tempting to pass up!)

Frankie as Rosemary Clooney in White Christmas (http://supergeek17.deviantart.com/art/Frankie-s-White-Christmas-94181545) (Loved the dress, had to draw her in it. 'Nuff said.)

Salsa Dancer Frankie (http://supergeek17.deviantart.com/art/Salsa-Dancer-Frankie-94197664) (Been on my mind for a while. Yes, I know I screwed her thigh up and that the skirt is kinda short-- both total mistakes; refer to artist comments.)

So... there we are. I'd post images, but I'm a combo of busy and too lazy to post everything to Photobucket first. :weirded:

I love those, WiltsAK! Especially the one from White Christmas, as I adore that movie too. You did a great job on all of them. The Salsa one makes me want to put on my own Salsa skirt and do some Salsa. It's been years since I've done it. It's fun, I kind of miss it.

Wow, once again I've been away too long. The game has problems as you may have read about in the Foster's Valley thread but Body Shop works just fine, and about an hour ago I used it, along with ScreenHunter, Paint, and a third-party program called the Body Shop Utility, to produce what you see below:

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f184/Cassini90125/FFBB.jpg

This one works for all seasons, I think; warm enough for all but the dead of winter, yet light and airy for spring, fall, and much of summer as well. Not too good for working around the House but ideal for a casual afternoon in the Valley or an evening in Downtown. Sophisticated without being overly dramatic, this is a recent aquisition from TSR. I don't recall where I got the background from but it works very well. Thought I'd pass the finished pic along to you guys and as always, comments and critiques are welcome.

Nice! I myself could totally wear that. Especially given I tend to be a fan of capris. It almost looks like a tube top she's wearing under the wrap sweater. Looks quite stylish. I don't have any critique I don't think this time. I even like the shoes.

I think this looks great on her! I love the background too, she looks like she's exuberant over something.

For Halloween outfits, if there ever was one I wanted to see drawn on Frankie it would definitely be Misty from Pokemon. It's a simple and yet attractive outfit and Frankie's already a red head so you already got a step up in that area.

So you have wished it, so shall it be!
