It's pretty much impossible to tell in advance. This whole thing is part of a recent trend of activity in this area that was dormant for hundreds of years, so we might be in for decades of this noise. I know fortifications are being built in places that may be affected (they should've been built ages ago, really). Regardless, it's pretty much confined to said area and it's definitely not the world-ending cataclysm those clickbait videos are apparently making it out to be.
