Okay, here's the thing... I periodically contemplate the idea of travelling to someplace that isn't in the USA. For some reason, Iceland always seems to be in the Top 10. I think it's the geology and the climate. Probably the food, too. I'm presuming that you're somewhat familiar with the country, so on the off chance that I ever come up with the cash for an overseas trip, I'm wondering a few things:
1. How widespread is the use of English? I've read that it's a compulsory subject in school, and I know you use it better that a lot of native English speakers (I'm thinking of Vinny, here). I read/speak no Icelandic whatsoever. How much trouble might that cause?
2. How far does a US Dollar go these days? I can check the exchange rate, yeah, but that tells me nothing about what it can actually buy.
3. Are Americans well-tolerated there, or did Trump ruin that, too? Sheesh, I detest that man.
Anyway, if you could get back to me on the matter when you have a moment, it'd be much appreciated. Excuse me now while I go off to plot things and plan stuff.
Oh, one other thing: are you familiar with this singer? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqnMkUcTmys I think she's absolutely amazing.
