There was a big snow event for the mountains about a week ago that affected northern CA, Oregon, and Washington. It only meant lots of rain for us in the lowlands, though. I'm wondering if that was it. Either way, I do appreciate the concern, Cass. 
And things are still quiet here. Which in ways is good, but in others... you know how much I love stormy weather.
