My flight on Saturday was a bit bumpy, as there were thunderstorms nearby. It didn't do anything where I landed, though. Last night, we had storms, too, some good lightning displays, a lot of wind, and some rainfall. We hung with Darren yesterday afternoon, see what he can do to assist me in finding IT work.
I reserved a room farther from the convention center. Yeah, every hotel that's really closer to the convention center (you know, the adjacent hotels, and locations within five blocks of the center) have "no rooms". Manchester Grand Hyatt was the first one I tried, then Marriott Marquis & Marina (home of the big breakfast buffet, man, I loved that place!), Hilton, etc. I'll certainly keep checking.
