If someone uploads a pic and gets several hundred faves, answering all of them would be ridiculously time-consuming. A general thank-you in the artist's comments box is a better idea. Plus there's a lot of people who have "don't thank me for faves" notices on their pages, too. It's part of the site's culture, much as sporking n00bs is part of MATY's culture. It's no big deal, 'cept to the MATY n00bs
