Wouldn't surprise me at all. Hell, we did the same thing to an annoying exchange student in high school. One day one of the local bullies was giving Eugene, the Pest from Cyprus, a hard time. Eugene of course doesn't want to put up with the dude's crap so he goes to complain to Rick the behaviour manager (yes, the school actually had an official "behaviour manager" position). Unfortunately he doesn't know his tormentor's name. No problem, he asked one of the other students. "Excuse, please, vat is his name?" he asked one of the girls watching the fun. She gave him a name, and Eugene promptly marched off to find the behaviour manager and complain that Elvis Presley was bothering him.
