Eh, earier just to hurl doodie and the occasional animal corpse and be done with it. 
One year was particularly good, corpse-wise. The way the house was built was with a large picture window in the front of the living room as well as the back. Stupid birds would think it was a tunnel and try to fly through it. Since they had no understanding of the concept of glass, they'd slam into the window and remove themselves from the gene pool.
