I do that as well. Chinese gets eaten from the container, grinder wrappers become temporary plates, etc. The plastic bowls that house a lot of the Chinese goodies I buy are my favorites; you can reheat them in the microwave, they have lids, and if I forget to rinse them, I toss them and go get another, along with a big load of pork chow fun. 
Obviously you won't need to break out the fine silverware when I arrive.
