Saw them all repeatedly; by the time the shows were cancelled, I knew more about the war than my history teachers. 
Later in life I develpoed an interest in the Revolution and the Civil War, both of which had numerous series and specials on the History and Discovery Channels. One of my favorite movies is a Civil War drama called Ironclads, detailing the events that led to the showdown between the Monitor and the Merrimack. Pretty riveting, at least from my point of view. The one annoyance I've had with war movies concerns Jutland; I've never been able to find a movie detailing the events of the Battle of Jutland. You'd think that the only major sea battle of World War One would warrant the all-star treatment from Hollywood, but I've found nothing worth mentioning.
