RIP David Eddings (1931-2009)

Today is not a good day to be named "David." Although not the best author in the world, this is very sad news.

Another one? I don't know who this is, but like I said earlier, it's still sad. RIP Mr. Eddings.

He was one of my favorite fantasy authors; the Belgariad series and it's sequel, the Malloreon, were as good as anything I've ever read. His passing is a loss for the genre, and for us all.

I'm afraid I never read any David Eddings but my best friend liked him, John Jakes and Michael Moorcock better than Tolkien and I certainly got into Moorock but never the other guys. Nonetheless I am sorry to hear of this.
