viacom and time warner. I'm gonna lose pretty much every channel I watch tonight because of this. And I am pretty sure that I am not the only one annoyed by this.

I've seen things like this happen before. I think everything will straighten out soon, though you never know this time around.

I've been reading some about this lately, and it seems absurd to me. Why can't they reach an agreement? Just today Cartoon Brew posted a blog about it, with more insight on what's going down, and why.

Quote:
If Time Warner Cable and Viacom can’t reach a deal, the channel blackout would occur after midnight in each time zone. The affected channels would be: Comedy Central, Logo, Palladia, MTV, MTV 2, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, MTV Tr3s, Nickelodeon, Noggin, Nick 2, Nicktoons, Spike, The N, TV Land, VH1, VH1 Classic, VH1 Soul and CMT: Pure Country.
I can certainly understand how there's going to be a loooot of unhappy people if this carries through.

As usual, it's all about money and which side can squeeze more out of the other.

My dad and his "teasing". Again.

Um, yeah. Usually before you put a meatloaf in the oven you need to "turn it on".

It really annoys me that some people don't seem to understand that the sign at the register that says "12 items or less" means them, too. And please, shoppers, study the weekly circular before you shop; don't do it at the register. The rest of us would like to pay and go home.

A fellow classmate of mine (T.N.J.W.N.L.W., which stands for Totally Nosy Jerk With No Life Whatsoever) - Geez, I think the teachers decided ever since 6th grade to put an insanity test on me to see when I snap (8th grade was actually decent)

Luckily I stood up to him today when my 5th period teacher stepped out of the room when he decided to - totally unprovoked, may I add - decide to "see into the future" and learn that I ended up marrying a metally retarded man and having the World's Ugliest Boy - I told him to look in the mirror for the latter part and things got... pretty crude and vulgar to say the least

I hate this guy moreso than Drama Girl >_> (at least she was polite until she was denied certain requests)

I hear ya. It's not fun being the cashier either, getting nasty looks from the next person in line, knowing they expect you to do something about it. If the customer being indecisive is being an extraordinary pain, I'll actually tell them "I have a line forming, would you mind if I take the next customer while you're still deciding?" Thankfully, they usually oblige. Although it can still be irritating when they think they can jump to the front of the line when they finally do decide, even when there are other people waiting.

If the indecisive customer doesn't oblige to allow me to check out the next customer in line, if I'm able to, I'll sign off and abandon the register, taking the next people in line at another register. And when the person causing the irritant is finally ready, I'll call a manager just in case they want to chew someone out for not allowing them make everyone else wait.

Why people feel a need to blame the cashier is beyond me; he/she is being inconvenienced just as much as everyone else. Moreso, in a way, in that they aren't allowed to vent on the pest. People need to remember that.
