No way!

This is just sad and depressing.

Eartha Kitt will really be missed.

I wasn't familiar with her really, but it's always sad when someone passes away. So may Ms. Kitt rest in peace, I know she'll be missed dearly.

Aw. Me and my sister loved Yzma in The Emperor's New Groove.

Rest in peace, Eartha Kitt.

I was listening to "Santa Baby" (her biggest hit song) right before I read about her death. She was definitely talented. It's a shame Kitt didn't beat colon cancer. RIP.

Out of all the ladies to portray Catwoman, she was one of my all time favorites.

Rest in Peace Eartha.

It was through only a radio obituary that I found out what a fantastically brave lady Eartha Kitt was as well as one of the all-time great cat-impersonators. Harold Pinter too was a big loss this christmas.

Harold Pinter was one of the all-time greats. His loss certainly hit me with quite a thud, particularly since I'd devoted so much of the year goneby to extensively studying his works. It thus feels kind of surreal to me, on a personal level, that we should lose him this year of all years.

Eartha Kitt I was most familiar with (other than "Santa Baby") for her voice-work as the villainous Yzma in The Emperor's New Groove. I remember one critic commenting that she made Cruella de Vil sound like Snow White. Indeed, she was brilliant at it. May they both rest in peace.
