Mr. Wizard Dead At 89
Don Herbert aka Mr Wizard died yesterday in his home in Bell Canyon, California.
Many of the older members of the board may remember him from his popular educational science show on Nickelodeon. He shall be missed. http://www.latimes.com/news/printedi...ck=1&cset=true

Ah now there was someone who truly made learning fun, and thanks to his ground breaking series he helped pave the way for the Bill Nye's and the Beakmans and the many many others who work in the genre of edutainment.
Yep he will be missed indeed.

Aww man... I used to watch this with my dad while my sister was getting ready for school, and it always put me in a really good mood.
I really liked that show... I hope he died peacefully.

I remember him best from an appearance on The Late Show, where he showed David Letterman how to use potassium hydroxide to blow up a bowl of cereal.
He'll definitely be missed by many, me among them. |
