I checked the official site earlier, hoping that everything had been fixed and that registration would soon be opened. I found this:

No idea when the test happened or how long they'll be analyzing the results. I'll call it a step in the right direction and keep checking.

Registration for Comic-Con 2011 is now scheduled for Saturday, February 5th, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time/12:00 Noon Eastern Time:

Yeah, same here. I'm not surprised that it sold out in one day. The only hope left for those that tried and failed would be from the refunded badges.

I just got a hold of my hotel, just to reconfirm my reservation. Yup - they still have slated in their computer for 20 to 25 July!

Just now booked my flight to Phoenix; barring delays, I'll be arriving at the airport at 1:30 PM Arizona Time on Thursday, July 14th. There's a 3-hour layover in Detroit so I shouldn't have to race across the airport to make the connecting flight, which will be a nice change.

My flight home from San Diego is now booked, so at this point I'm more or less all set. Time to think about packing.
