I know this has been brought up (if not in this thread then in another), but...I just saw a commercial for a chain restaurant I'd never heard of, so I checked their locations. We're on the west coast, and the nearest one is in Texas. -_- Seriously, wth. With the high airfares right now, I just don't think airing that commercial out here right now is the best idea...

Being lied to or otherwise deceived. It's a wonder that I trust anyone anymore.

Thanks, but I doubt it would help much. I've added the individual to my personna non-grata list and moved on.

memory cards dieing. i had a few that did this a month or two ago, which sucked because EVERYTHING was on them. luckily i was able to salvage about half of it.

i think the only thing worse than that is that i had to salvage what i could on my smaller memory cards. note how i had to go from 64 mb to 8.

also my dad. with him everything is my fault, i lie all the time (half the time i lie when its something that was never even said by anyone, espicially me.) and im a terrible son. i wonder if being the middle child has anything to do with this.

Wow, so have I. I have very little tolerance for people who lie about and slander my father, especially since I'm close enough to tell that they're lying.

On the subject of dis-communicating people, I haven't cut her out of my life, but I'm mad at one of my oldest and dearest friends. We were inseparable in jr. high and high school for the most part. We lived together many times. I was the one who stayed with her in the hospital all day when she had her baby. She just doesn't talk to me. I write long emails letting her know what's up with me. She seems to enjoy them and acts all excited to have heard from me, writes back saying she's short on time and will give me all the juicy little details about her life when she has more time. That "more time" never seems to come. And yet I know she goes to movies and sports events and hangs out with her other friends (we live in entirely different states). I know she enjoys computers, so I know she can email and update her web sights with no prob (I USE to get long emails from her in college), but she'd rather hang out with her "in person" friends I guess than keep her out of state friends in touch with what's going on. Last year she got engaged, and it was her sister some months later who informed me of it. And she said "What? You didn't know this already? I can't believe she didn't tell you!" I have not gotten an invitation yet (not that I expect to go, can't afford it this year), and even got a scare a few weeks ago that they eloped and yet again she failed to let me know. At receiving an answer from her sister, I learn that she's not married yet, but I'm still not happy. I feel betrayed and shrugged off. Apparently I'm not "cool" enough to be informed of things like this. Frankly, I think it's "ditsyness" more than anything, so it's hard to stay real mad at her. That and her failure to remember things like writing one of her best friends. She's always had a lame memory. But I'm still kind of ticked at her right now.
