I kinda thought that was a reference to "Josie and the Pussycats" and "Jabberjaws", two cartoons which featured bandmembers dressed up as cats, and one that actually WAS a shark, respectively. I could be totally off-the-mark, though.

To me, the best joke of the episode was the name Bloo finally settled on. Bloo Sabbath.

I don't disagree with that. I still love the idea of there being a music video for "Talk to the Jeans" for Season 5's DVD release.

I just saw this one for the first time today.... and I was disappointed. I found it boring, and it really lacked a story/plot. There wasn't anything clever or witty

It focused too much on Bloo, and felt like another vehicle for his stoopid antics. It was nice to see another set of IFs (Bloppy, FN, the one with the Indian accent etc), but all the characters seemed underwhelming, expect for maybe Mac, who's joy and enthusiasm was one redeeming feature (but it seems a little odd he has his own laptop- he's a little boy!)

It really needed a better plot, with more suspense and more interesting interaction, perhaps something similar to The Commitments *, ie everyone joins the band, they have some success, but suffer due to a clash of ego's, but with a happy ending and maybe a moral of team work.

That Jeans song was pretty bland, it wasn't particularly witty or even catchy.
The band should have had more songs, the finale was OK (and it was interesting to see everyone wearing different clothes. Bloo's British accent was great though, he sould speak like that all the time!)

*The Commitments is a brilliant Irish film made about 20 years ago, and considered a classic:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101605/, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3paf2TLrgsg

I have to respectfully disagree. Though it's not my favorite episode, I still greatly enjoyed it. I like the song "Talk to the Jeans". I agree I would have loved to hear another song or two by Pizza Party though. I remember being a little annoyed at hearing "Talk to the Jeans" two and a half times in 22 minutes. It got kind of old in the end. It would have been cool if the first one and a half times were them practicing another "not as good" song. And then the final performance was "Talk to the Jeans", which was their big hit. I bet it would have gone over better, but at the same time I realize how much work that would have been for the Foster's crew to come up with another song, and then decide which one should be the "big" hit and which one should just be the little kick off one.

It might be due to a difference in cultures, but here in the States, there are many 6 and 7 year olds with their own computers. At that age, they usually just have desktops, not a laptop that can be dropped and lost. But we all know Mac is mature for his age. So I don't see it strange at all that Mac, at age 8, has a laptop.
