I would love to see the guys from Venture Bros. take on Johnny Quest. They already have the campiness down. I would love to see it animated anyway.

I remember this show when it was on CN in the 90s. Great cartoon with good characters and great story plots. Never even knew there was going to be a movie based on the show.

See as much as I love Venture Bros, I'd much rather have a Jonny Quest movie. I'd rather have the original than a send-up of the original. I mean it's kind like having Scream come out before the slasher films that preceded it. Or trying to publish issues of The Tick with no other heroes to parody.

As for camp, I can honestly say that there seems to be very little in Jonny Quest. They pretty much always played it dead serious. The dialogue may seem a little hokey today, but in 40 years it holds up a lot better than many of its contemporaries over even shows that didn't exist until it was long-cancelled.

I sure hope the men behind Hitman can pull this one off. There are many guys out there right now who would be perfect for this project, but we've got to give new talent a chance every once in a while.
