I'll be perfectly honest, I pretty much hate this "company" or "team" or whoever it is taking these cartoons and making these god awful CGI movies like "Garfield" and "Underdog". They're ONLY good one and I didn't think so at first until I saw it, is the Scooby Doo movie in my opinion.

However, in comparison to Garfield and Underdog.....this doesn't look that bad. I mean it doesn't look great but it looks decent enough that I would consider looking at it. I love Jason Lee, the chipmunks at least sound like their old selves and they look much better then I thought they would.

Doing them like this probably made more sense then making the deformed, rodent humanoid appearance they originally had (I still never understood what the hell they were supposed to be). Anyway I have to say, I've seen worse ads for even worse movies, this doesn't look that unimaginably horrible.

I'm probably sounding nuts for saying this but I got to be honest, compared to the crap they made before and crap other companies has made before, there's much worse out there then this Chipmunks movie and I definitely have to say, if i was being dragged to see this, I wouldn't complain that much.

I'm unsure if I want to pay 8 bucks for it because I'd rather save it up for "National Treasure: Book of Secrets", but still this doesn't look all that extremely bad.

I doubt that this film version of the cartoon will fare well in theaters, compare to other movies such as "I Am Legend" and "National Treasures: Book of Secrets".

I think you might want to rethink that emperor. Your talking about a kids movie open on school winter break?

If you ask me, there gonna get quite a bit of cash releasing it at this holiday time.

I forsee a lot of unhappy parents on that day. The previews look like it will be a very grating movie, something that is endured rather than enjoyed. I'm sure some people will like it but I'm not going anywhere near it.

To me, it looks like, Jason Lee would be the only positive thing about seeing this movie. I don't even think being a kids movie can save it. National Treasure was popular with both kids and adults. I think this movie is only bound for being a cheap filler in television movie line-ups.

As my mother was a big fan of The Chipmunks, and raised me to be a fan as well, I'm interested in seeing it. It does look kind of dumb from the previews, but I'm still curious. The scene with one of the munks taking a "shower" in the dishwasher was cute IMHO, so I'm sure it'll have other cute scenes in it too. But I'll be waiting until it comes out in DVD.

maybe its just because i'm an idiot...but this movie looks hillarious.

if i can get somebody to drive me to the mall i would literally just have to sit the whole time and not think at all. Afterwards we could get chinese in the food court.

oh God that sounds awesome!

I agree the movie looks like a dud.

I do have fond memories of listening to my "Chipmunk's Christmas" record over & over again when I was a kid.
