OT, but how do you double quote.

I see plenty of it at school, too, which is exactly WHY I got such a strong "East Side vs. West Side" feel from that face-off clip from
Good Wilt Hunting. Many of my students whe ARE gang members have even speculated that Wilt could have been an "O-G", or "Old Gangsta", a term for a gang leader, in the past. While is is not pleasant to think of at all, it would indeed account for Wilt's eagerness to be helpful, and his deep-seated fear of upsetting others and being cast out yet-again, as trying to attone for some horrific thing(s) he's done in his past. As difficult as it is to think of, an abandoned Imaginary Friend, desparate to belong to
someone, would be perfect gang recruit fodder, especially one with Wilt's athletic abilities and strength, and his height. Wilt does have a natural leadership ability and has shown that he is perfectly capable of taking charge of a situation(as he does in "Blooooooo"), and he's very charismatic, so it would almost be a natural progression for him to eventually rise to a position of importance and status. While Wilt seems so nice and sweet now, as CG has speculated in her fanart piece, this might not have always been the case. He could very well have been a real male offspring of a female dog at one point, if you know what I mean, and if pushed into a situation where he had to join a gang to survive on the streets, like many humans, he'd probably take that route.
