I was very very guilty of this when I first saw the pilot in Los Angeles. There was something about the way that Frankie told Mr. Herriman that hhis creator didn't forget him that lead me to interpret it was, I didn't forget about you.

I was weird back then. And still am, to some extent.

I thought the same thing. That quote, and the way she said it, made me assume.
