Mandy (Julie Andrews Edwards)
There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom (Louis Sachar)
Anna Casey's Place in the World (Adrian Fogelin)
Good Night, Mister Tom (Michelle Magorian)

There's a bunch more that I can't think of, I'm sure...

I mainly read non-fiction (history); but I do enjoy Stephen King, Louis L'Amour, Steven Coontz, Mitch Albom, and L. Frank Baum (call me crazy but I love the Oz series).
