It's a good cartoon, but it went downhill when Danny Phantom came into the scene. Here's some theory I just came up with about Timmy before he met Cosmo and Wanda. Mind taking a second and reading it? Thanks.
Let's take a general overview about Timmy's life before he met Cosmo and Wanda, shall we? Think about it. Timmy has nitwit parents, an evil babysitter, an annoying fangirl breathing down his neck, a popular girl rejecting him for popular boys, a bully, a crazed-up teacher, and two somewhat unattentive friends. And if one manages to watch the Oh Yeah! Cartoons pilot episode on YouTube, study his behavior before Cosmo and Wanda came out of the Magic 9 ball. For some reason, it tells me, "If Timmy never got Cosmo and Wanda, he would have commited suicide. "Ahem. Thanks for your time. Good day.

At least Timmy doesn't have to live with Vicky like Tootie does.
I say that if Timmy never met Cosmo and Wanda he would have ended up like Squee but not as...frighten of the world.

OH!! I LOVED THIS SHOW!! It was taken out of production though...
It was a great show... and yeah, without Cosmo and Wanda Timmy probably would heve been WAAAYY less than an avarage kid that no one understands, he would be a waaay below average depressed little kid who always wants to stay secluded and no one understands him because his words are always muffled and quiet... but that's just my opinion... |

That made me feel kind of sad to think of Timy in Squee's shoes.

Not a bad show at all, but never my favorite either. The extremely hyperactivy of the episodes and jokes is what stops me from being a big fan. While I'm sure many enjoy it(and good for them), I personally can only take it in small doses; anything more just drives me nuts.
I can see plenty of similarities between Timmy and Mac, as they're both outcasts who find very unlikely friends, but they're also quite different. Mac is a very mature, smart, sweet, shy and lovably vulnerable kid with a true heart of gold, and somebody I can easily sympathize with when something bad happens to him. Timmy... I don't hate him, but I can't say I care much about him. I'm sure I'm not supposed to due to the show's shameless "out-and-out crazy ballistic" tone(Unlike Foster's relatively down-to-earth nature), but as a person, I find him to be somewhat rude, obnoxious and even bratty. It's as if he's allowed the fairy godparents' powers get to his head. And I certainly can't sympathize with his attempts at wooing Trixie, because quite frankly, she's an absolutely horrible person that epitomizes many things wrong with teenage girls. There are some really funny characters, though, like Crocker and the Arnold Schwarzenegger-like fairy. And I've always wanted to see what would happen if Vicky met Frankie ![]() |

Voxxyn, his name is Jorgen Von Strangle. He makes me laugh, but so does Cosmo when he acts or says something really dumb.

Well, my friends, you have just started a thread on my old fandom. And I'm going to warn you, this will be a REALLY long post. Hey, be happy this isn't a post about Titanic, which would be three times as long.
(*steps up to a microphone*) My name is Marty. (*chorus of people answer back*) "Hi, Marty!" I've been in the FOP fandom for three years. (*chorus of people clap*) Just kidding- I'm not that cheesy. I loved FOP up until right after Channel Chasers- as some of you may know, Danny Phantom debuted shortly before that. Now, I'm not one of those people who think that FOP going down the toilet was all DPs fault. Don't get me wrong, DP is a good show and all (I watch it occasionally, although I'm not as emotionally attached to it as I am FOP), but it is PART of the reason why FOP went downhill. I mean, I understand that Butch Hartman had other ideas than just FOP, but I think he should have found a way to give BOTH shows the attention they needed. Butch is screwed because he left FOP and DP is now going to be canceled. And I'm not going to say that it serves him right, although I've thought it once or twice. But I'm getting ahead of myself. How, may you ask, did FOP go down the toilet after Channel Chasers? It was the writing, if you ask me. Cosmo became downright nasty (Take the episode Big Wanda- it was thought that Wanda died, and Cosmo wasn't upset at all- HELLO?? SHE'S HIS WIFE!!!), calling Wanda a nag and overall terrible marriage jokes. And you know how Disney keeps making all of those direct-to-video sequels and NOBODY likes them? Yeah- except for Back to the Norm, they all stank. No one watched them, and they were all in seasons 5 and 6. Not all of the episodes stank after Channel Chasers- any episode that had Norm in it rocked. And there were the episodes (like the earlier mentioned Big Wanda) that COULD have been good, but were ruined by bad jokes. Several episodes had nice plots, but were ruined by Timmy's selfishness, Cosmo's nastiness, and everyone not caring as much as they used to. It was depressing, and that (and DP) is why the show ended. And that's my two-sense. -Marty ![]()
