Default New Fanart-Wilt and Jordan

I got inspired for this from some conversations on here about the nature of the relationship between Wilt and Jordan Michaels OUTSIDE of the basketball court, in which I see Wilt's role as that of an adult male mentor/father figure/role model, whatever you want to call it. That would probably have including Wilt teaching his boy about responsibilities and priorities, like how if you wanna be discovered by NBA scouts, you have to get to college, and to make it to college, you have to graduate from high school. If you want to make it to high school, you gotta get through middle school, and to get to middle school, you gotta pass the third grade, and THAT means getting your homework done, and done RIGHT, like it or not. Jordan's just not too happy at the moment that his mean ole' Imaginary Friend, whom he created to help him learn to play basketball, won't even let him near the court until that homework is done, no if's and's or but's! Of course, we know that later on, he'll really appreciate Wilt's "tough love".

I did this in cheap Rose Art markers and watercolor pencils while at work. It is my first attempt at drawing Jordan, as either a kid or an adult, and my first fanart with pre-amputee, un-broken Wilt, as he was created.

This is my favorite piece you've done so far. You've really captured Wilt's character brilliantly, and I must say that you've done a nice job drawing Jordan, despite it being your first time to doing just that.

I can so picture that! "I'm sorry, Jordan, but you gotta get your homework done first!" Wilt could be just as irriating an imaginary friend as Bloo, only in Wilt's case because he always does the RIGHT thing.

Great picture!

Awesome! That's a pretty darn good job considering it's with RoseArt markers. I could never do that

Wow, you did that with RoseArt markers? I'd be afraid to do that... Impressive work there, PBL! I can just hear Jordan saying "Aw Man!" Love the kitty in the background!

That's wonderful, PBL. I like the background effect you were able to create with those crayons - and the kitty, of course.

Oh, this is so sweet! I really like the way you drew Wilt and Jordan-- I can't draw worth a lick, so any really good piece of art is fantastic. It's amazing what you can do with the talent and some markers and colored pencils. I really liked the pre-GWH take on Wilt, and your sentiments about Wilt teaching Jordan about priorities and responsibilies reminds me so much of my parents-- that's basically what my parents tell me all the time, except with the NBA.

Fantastic all around!

The whole "Wilt as a responsible Father-Figure" thing almost reminds me of me, since its like I know certain things about being grown up without actually experiencing it for myself.
