this band any good? I want to get a consensus before i drop $$$ on their stuff.

Well if you have $$$ to spend....

Black Flag were pretty good. I especially liked the song 'Loosen Up' which was really tense and teeth-gritting. Bandleader Henry Rollins had a good solo career and is now in the occassional movie. I remember we all had a good laugh when 'Low Self Opinion' came out and it had Henry on the cover looking all angry and full of steroids. He seemed to be suggesting that if you didn't start feeling better about yourself, he'd duff you up. Well if you're still out there, Rollins, I could take you then and I'll take you now! I'll feel as bad about myself as I want to, thank-you Mr pop-star. You're nothing!

Anyway I prefered the Dead Kennedys and Jello Biafra.

I love Black Flag, not my favorite band, but still some good stuff.

oh! Henry's got his own show on IFC, now. Never knew it was the same dude.

i think i'll pick up a CD to test them out. That reminds me, i need more Lucinda Williams!

I have a greatest Hits type of Black Flag album, IT is NOT the type of DVD I play when the family is home. I keep it between my Oiy and Punk-O-Ramma.

They are an aquired Tast. put bluntly, you could describe the music as: young,aggressive, white Trash, angry, ect....

Henry Rollins first Big Band back in the early-mid 80's put out some great tunes like: White Minority, Six Pack and TV Party. to name a few.

Buy at your own Risk, but if you like the Dead Kennedys, old Suiccidal Tendencies, DRI it would be a good investment.
