Default Need health help

I apologize in advance if this is not appropriate, but I need some help.

I'm not feeling 100% today. Yesterday I was REALLY pale, stayed in bed all day, my stomach was growling like it's really hungry or in pain, and I threw up a bit before bed. Today, I'm feeling a bit better, but my stomach still hurts a bit. I don't know if it's bloating or a stomach ache. Does anyone know, and is there a solution?

If I had to guess I'd say it was a stomach virus or some such thing. When I get something like that I drown it with orange juice and ride it out until it goes away.

Thanks. I've just asked my mum if she can get a packet of orange juice bottles on the way back.

Yeah, sounds like a stomach bug. If you felt sick only for the one day and didn't have any diarrhea, it wasn't likely food poisoning. Mm, orange juice sounds really good (but then I like it all the time). Another thing that might help is charcoal. Charcoal has an amazing ability to absorb toxins and hold on to them so they otherwise stay out of your system until it's passed all the way though. You can probably find charcoal pills at a local pharmacy. Depending how sick you are, you might have to take six or eight pills. There's no danger really in overdosing, so don't worry if you feel the need to take a lot. The only side affect is, when it passes all the way through, it's, well, black. But I've used it many times when I feel nauseated and it helps, it really does.

Thanks for the advice. The cause was that my mum wasn't too cautious about the Use By date on the chocolate yogurt, which was October 24 2009!

I'm drinking some orange juice poppers, but my mum is going to get some Vitamin C tablets. Will that work as well?

As I've just found out. After chewing on them for a bit, it gets dusty. That I didn't expect!

Sometimes I find that having anything too acidy (like both vit C annd orange juice), can aggravate a dicky tummy. A few gulps of lukewarm water is best to give your guts a rest while they sort out whatevers happened down there. Have you taken any medicine recently like anti-biotics, iboprofen or asparin recently?

No, I haven't taken any medicines. See Post #5 for the reason I got the stomach virus

Okay, I think my stomach virus is gone, but I'm not sure. I've been going to bed earlier than expected, I've been eating less, and I've had a headache. I want to eat normally, but I'm not sure. I'm worried that if I eat too fast and/or too much, I might throw up again. Is this from the aftermath of having a stomach virus, or am I going crazy?

EDIT - After having some French Toast for lunch, I don't think this is an issue anymore. I'll definitely take the orange juice advice for next time. Thanks Cass!
