Here's a picture of one, though it's from the UK site. I don't know how widely available these are overseas, though odds are you'd be able to find something similar somewhere.
It's actually marketted as a children's toy, though I'm sure that the grown-up appeal is just as strong. The price on the official site is fairly expensive, but I was fabulously lucky when it came to the purchase of mine - I got a complete set (used, but all the bits and pieces were still there) for three pounds at a car boot sale. You basically cut out the picture you want for your badge yourself, and then the machine compacts everything into place, so they're probably not as good quality as the digitally printed ones you bought on ebay there, but I still think that the results are pretty nice.
