That does seem to be the case with the one-eyed cat friend (some folks refer to him as "Catclops", but I'm not sure whether that's his official name or not). That poor moggy doesn't appear to have very much luck in holding down a home for long. We've seen him get adopted in "Adoptcalypse Now", hanging out with his adopted family in "Phone Home", show up at the house again in "Berry Scary" and "Land of the Flea", then be rescued (presumably after another abandonment) and rehomed all over again in "Bloo's the Boss". I personally haven't noticed him since that episode, which I think is a good thing, since he did appear to be really happy with his new adopted family at the end. I'm inclined to think that this ubiquitousness is simply a result of his being a stock background character, and not really an intentional move on the part of the animators, but I could be wrong.
