It's not food-related but that reminds me of how when I was in high school there was this apple-scented hairspray that was very popular, and as it was about 1990 big hair was in. As it turned out I was allergic to the apple hairspray and I almost passed out one time in the dressing room of the drama department when every single girl in there but me whipped out the apple spray at once. I couldn't breathe for about a minute, and I had to be dragged out of there.
Anyways I'm surprised that I still liked apples after that...
