Ok, I did some research, and it appears the article, and the date, are legit. There are similar articles at
Animation Magazine,
Anime News,
Access My Library, and a later article at
Multichannel News, all dated February '07.
Reading these however I learned that news broke about CN Mattel toys being released long before we actually started seeing them. So there still might be time for Hallmark products to show up. Perhaps they were still in the development stage throughout most of last year or something. Well, I'll certainly keep my eyes open.
