Hmm, Kansas and Kentucky. Well, Kansas is famous for Dorothy's and Toto's home in
The Wizard of Oz. "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore." And with or without the help from "Oz", it's well known for tornadoes. And Kentucky makes me think of country music. And Kentucky Fried Chicken. Home of some of the yummiest, flakiest, buttery biscuits in the country if you ask me.
And its exploration and settlement is thanks to Daniel Boone. That's all I can think of at the moment.
