We most likely will find out about Wilt's "origin story" in the upcoming tv movie,
Good Wilt Hunting. According to Cartoon Network, we will learn about "Wilt's mysterious past" during the course of that movie, and presumably, that will mean finding out who his creator was, and why Wilt was abandoned, and perhaps how he received his injuries.
