We have earthquake drills, too, since South Carolina actually sits right on top of some really major seismic faults, and we have had some BIG(like 8.6)quakes in the past, one of which totally detroyed the city of Charleston in the late 1800's. We have several small ones every year, which is good since it releases energy along the faults.
I watched the news, but there was no mention of the situation. They're still covering a case where a nutcase kidnapped a 14-year-old girl and kept her hostage in an underground bunker for nearly two weeks, before she was found over the weekend, still thankfully alive, and he was arrested. His MOTHER and his common-law wife(whose 12-year-old daughter he'd molested before this)were both HELPING him, bringing food to him and his prisoner and trying to throw the police off the trail by calling in false "leads" and such.
