Wow, that pretty much covers how I felt about
Scooby-Doo as well. I watched every episode at one time or another and loved the show so much that I eventually taped them all. I had very high hopes for the movie when I heard it was being made, but there was a sense of dread, too; what if they butchered the show, turned the movie into something completely unrecognizable? That could very easily have happened - it's happpened to other cartoon adaptations often enough - but happily it didn't. I ended up seeing it in the local theaters four times. I still don't think that Sarah Michelle Gellar bears any resemblance to Daphne at all, but other than that I have no complaints. It was a great movie.
