Pilot!Madame Foster, to Bloo: "You're so pure, so simple; and above all: a true friend."
This was my second time re-watching the pilot, after I'd finished watching nearly all the seasons and up to Cheese a Go-Go. I snorted. Really hard. XD "Pure and simple" are barely the words I'd pick to describe Bloo right now. I mean, look at all the times he got the gang into trouble for his own selfish reasons. Look at the number of times he's quarelled with Mac to the extent where their friendship nearly fell apart. (Though Bloo and Mac always make it back up to each other by the end of the episode, so it's cool.
) I've yet to see him actually do something self-sacrificing, or standing up to someone else to defend them if it doesn't directly concern his own being.
But he has been a true friend on several occasions, even if it was after much persuasion and whining and complaining. And his good deed(s) in Bloo's the Boss. He's crazy and annoying and immature, but it's what makes Bloo Bloo, and I love his character for that. XD
