Even though I knew what was going to happen at the end, I had no idea about the parts in between. It was like an awesome thrill ride. It was also cool to see how the tone of the series totally shifted by the second film, from haunted house movie in space to monster action movie in space.
I can't give this movie enough praise. Anyone who hasn't seen it I highly recommend they do.

Odd note: I can't remember the name of it, but the original
Alien was actually based on a sci-fi story. The sequels however were, of course, their own beasts. I've liked each one I've seen for their own reasons, though I've only gotten to see
Alien, Aliens, and Alien Resurrection.
ANd off note, call me crazy if you must, but I bloody well loved Alien Resurrection.
Last film I saw was
Grindhouse last night. A friend of mine and I were supposed to go see the ATHF film, but we ended up misreading the showtimes and went to see Grindhouse instead. I wasn't too terribly disappointed, since Grindhouse turned out so great. Really, I wrote most of my thoughts on it down in the thread about it.
