Octophobia is certainly an interesting one, much more so than the vexingly rampant Triskaidekaphobia, which I've never understood myself. I think that 13 is quite a charming little number. For the record, I used locker number 13 when I did the Sydney Bridge climb three years ago, and I didn't go hurtling to my death (that poor locker just looked so lonely and left out, with all its surrounding companions taken

).
I've always been bemused by those buildings which try not to acknowledge the existence of the number 13 by going straight from floor 12 to floor 14. Call it what you want, but you can't change the fact that it
is actually the thirteenth floor you're walking on.
