Oh, my reasons for the ending:
- If there were 2 romances, the short plot would have looked like this:
A new friend arrives at Foster's, but her evil owner takes Terrence in a plan agains the home, but, thanks to the friend, who in the meantime has fallen in love, and returned, with Wilt, her plan is foiled. And she falls in love with Terrence, and they're happy. - now, that's when I say: "GAH! MARY_SUE!!!"
- 1 romance:... enough said.
- no romance at all: readers throwing bricks: I WAS EXPECTING ELSE, DUH!!!"
- only suggestions, as I did: I think it's fine.
