I am an aviation enthusiast (I did take lessons and had some few hours in the Cessna 172). But I have dreams where planes fall out of the sky. Here is one of them:
A friend and myself were riding our bicycles in a neighborhood. I think it is in AZ (despite seeing all the trees along the street). We are near an airport, and I see a DC-9 (an older twin jet engined near the T-tail) airliner either on final or taking off (I don't remember). We stop to watch it, and all of the sudden we hear the engines wind down. The airplane goes into a nose-down plunge. Even though we are more than a mile from the plane, we duck behind a brick wall. We hear a terrific explsion and we still get hit with metal fragments. We look and see larger sections of the aircraft rolling in the street. I look down, and I see a human hand. Then I woke up...
