Yes, I'm sure that you're all tiring of these constant R.I.P. threads, but I felt sad that John Hughes didn't yet have one around here. If you haven't already heard the news, Mr. Hughes, director of such comedy classics as
The Breakfast Club,
Ferris Bueller's Day Off and
Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and writer and producer of that other great family favourite,
Home Alone, has died from a heart attack at age 59:

Strange to think that I was only two days ago talking about how much I loved
Planes, Trains and Automobiles, and how saddened it always makes me to feel to know that John Candy is no longer with us. Today we add another fine talent to that list. R.I.P. John.
