Oh yeah that was one of the best gags in the entire movie.
I've always loved the those types of gags where you see something like that and it's left up to the viewers fertile imagination to fill in the blanks and come up with their own crazy theories as to what the deal was.
Kind of like that part in the episode Make Believe it or Not, where Bloo came up with some kind of crazy eclair snatching scheme involving sombreros which of course never came into play due to the events of that episode, but you are left wondering with a feeling of what could have been.
